JAC HAUDENSCHILD ENTERS OVAL NATIONALS! (OCTOBER 16, 2003) The field for the 8th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals, presented by Temecula Valley Pipe and Supply, got a lot tougher on Thursday afternoon when Perris Auto Speedway officials opened their mail box and found a filled out entry blank from Wooster, Ohio superstar Jac Haudenschild. In 2003, Haudenschild, 45, is celebrating his 30th season of racing sprint cars. The biggest win of his illustrious career came a little over a month ago when he pocketed $200,000.00 for winning the Mopar Million at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway. Now he has his mind made up to take the Oval Nationals winners share of $30,000.00 back to Ohio. In an effort to do so, he will be driving the same racetohawaii.com car that carried him to the historic Mopar Million victory.

Haudenschild, who is known as the “Wild Child” to his legion of fans around the world, first stepped into a sprint car in 1974 at Ohio’s Wayne County Speedway. He picked up the first win of his career the following season. Since then, he has battled with and beaten the best non-wing and winged sprint car drivers racing can offer driving with the World of Outlaws, SCRA, USAC, All-Stars and CRA.

When the father of 3 (oldest son Justin, 17, placed 11th in his first ever sprint car race on September 27th) arrives at The PAS for the three nights of the Oval Nationals on November 13th, 14th and 15th, he better be ready for a fight as the toughest field in the history of Perris Auto Speedway will be on hand to contest the $100,000.00 event.

Early entries show Haudenschild the names of tough combatants such as Cory Kruseman, Richard “The Gasman” Griffin, J.J. Yeley, Mike Kirby, Troy Rutherford, Steve Ostling, Charles Davis, Jr. and a host of others. By the time the race rolls around, over 60 entries are expected for the high profile event.

The countdown for the 8th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals has begun and the first night is less than a month away. Advance tickets are on sale now by calling 1-800-595-4849 or (909) 940-0134.

Fans can also order tickets from the Internet at www.tix.com or www.perrisautospeedway.com.
