Bloomington, Indiana’s Kinser, winner of this month’s 50th annual Chico (Calif.) Gold Cup Race of Champions, claimed 23 of 27 first place votes cast by the select panel of winged 410-cubic-inch sprint car racing’s manufacturers, media members, sanctioning officials and promoters. Higginsville, Missouri’s Lasoski, winner of last month’s 43rd annual Knoxville Nationals, gathered the other four first place markers.

Both drivers will compete in the 41st annual Williams Grove National Open in Mechanicsburg (Penna.), October 3-4. Those drivers ranked third through fifth, respectively, are Donny Schatz of North Dakota, Greg Hodnett of Tennessee, and Joey Saldana of Indiana. Rounding out the current ‘top ten’ are Daryn Pittman, Jason Meyers, Paul McMahan, Tim Shaffer, and All Star Circuit of Champions (ASCoC) point champion Chad Kemenah, respectively.
