2004 All-HammerDown! Team honors 40 drivers - 11/02/04, Rocklin, CA.…"HammerDown!" a Rocklin, California based World Wide Web address is pleased to announce the second annual All-HammerDown! Team. In 2004, the fictional team is comprised of the top-40 in the Racers Racing Series point standings. Geared to sprint cars, midgets, and dirt-champ style cars, a 52-race National schedule for drivers was created. A unique point system was designed to yield a group of 40 racers that are battle tested on a National stage. HammerDownUSA.com editor Bobby Gerould said, "These 40 drivers represent some of the best in our HammerDown! world for the year 2004. They showed desire and a willingness to travel to earn respect." Last year, voting by fans determined the All-HammerDown! Team. In 2005, Gerould says the format will be tinkered with again. "The formula is almost right but next year we will make it tougher by only giving points to those drivers that finish in the top 15 (rather than top-24) at RRS races. Had we done that this year the list would be slightly different."
