2003: It is cool to see that the USAC sprint cars will make their first visit to the Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C. The date on that race is October 8th, making it the final race of the 2003 sprint season for the wingless warriors. The USAC Western sprint series will open at Stockton 99 Speedway in California on May 17th.

In the Dirty South (2002 Fall WoO Swing) Randy Hannagan made his Rocket Chassis debut at Charlotte. Randy said "This is a good car." He won his heat race Saturday night in the Glen Stewart wrenched #1x. …The pits were full of Andy Hillenburgs. Both Oklahoma, and Indiana Andy's were spotted at Lowes. Indy Andy had Kenny Jacobs in the chair of his #4 sprinter. The car is a former Danny Lasoskimobile. …Oklahoma Andy Hillenburg was basically hanging out. We saw him with World of Outlaws boss Ted Johnson. …Shane Stewart took his last ride in the Junior Holbrook#8h. Shane will ride in the car driven by Michael Dupuy this season. The car is tuned by Rob Hart, and Cathy Barrows, and we bet the house they will be fast! …Craig Dollansky announced that VMAC will be back for three more years on his Karavan racing #7. "The Crowd Pleaser" hasn't finished worse than 8th in the last 15 World of Outlaws races. Because of that, Dollansky is within five points of Danny Lasoski for 2nd place in the WoO points. …Donny Schatz has added Tyler Swank to his crew that is now headed by Shane Anderson. …Daryn Pittman scored his sixth A-Main win of the year, once again with a solid slick track performance. ...Tyler Walker was in his own league in the Ricky Warner tuned #35. When Tyler popped a tire with 3 laps remaining he was a half lap ahead. …Kraig Kinser, winner of five GLOSS races, participated in the Charlotte festivities. The youngster made the A-Main on Saturday. …Greg Hodnett was double quick again, posting fast time on Friday when all 39 cars timed-in.
