Quotes

Terry McCarl “I want to thank God for a safe race. I thought Erin (Crocker) was going to pull it off again—she did a great job again tonight, and I was kind of hoping she’d win when I was running toward the back, but as I got closer and closer to the front I started to think that I might have a shot at it. I’ve run a lot of races on a lot of different type tracks, and I knew I had to try to run the bottom and save my tires as much as I could. Danny (Lasoski) kind of showed me something up higher there toward the end of the race, but again, you had to be really careful. I wish my wife and family could be here with me for this one, but I know they’re back home listening. These internet broadcasts are great. I have to thank all of my sponsors—Big Game Tree Stands, Country Builders: I wish the Offil family could have been here tonight. They were here last night when we sucked, but they’ve been with me for a long time. Bosma Poultry, Fast & Mueller, Fleet Buying Group. I don’t have a big corporate sponsor—we’re trying to put something together to run the full (World of Outlaws) season next year. Wesmar Engines—seems like when we run an engine that’s supposed to go back for a re-build, we win an Outlaw race. I have to thank Neil (Cowman) and the guys at Hoosier for building the best race tires in the world. Eagle Chassis, Weld Racing and Brodix, and everyone for coming out here tonight.”
