Jason Johnson damaged the front end of his car while attempting to pass Erin Crocker for 4th in heat race #3. Johnson’s car was too severely damaged to make it back for the restart.

Lap 5—Steve Kinser passed Joey Saldana for 5th low in 3&4. With 5 laps complete, caution for Billy Alley, who spun in turn 1

Lap 7—Steve Kinser got by Danny Lasoski for 4th low exiting turn 2

Lap 11—Caution for Jesse Hockett, who stopped in turn 4. Hockett was unable to continue

Lap 12—Steve Kinser passed Kraig Kinser for 3rd low in 1&2

Lap 13—Caution for Brian Paulus, who lost a motor in turn 4. Tim Shaffer up to 9th from 20th

Lap 14—Jason Meyers got 6th from Joey Saldana on the top in 1&2

Steve Kinser - "I kind of found a little rubber there on the bottom in 1&2, and actually a little bit on the bottom in 3&4, but I didn’t want to show it until I could get a run on those guys. Craig (Dollasnky) was running pretty good, but I think I would have gotten by him if he wouldn’t have found the rubber. This Quaker State car has been strong right out of the box this year, and we just keep finding a way to get the job done.”
