Gardner stars at Perris - HD Staff - November 5, 2011 - Perris, CA. ...Damion Gardner started from the pole and led every lap of the Perris Oval Nationals Saturday night at Perris Auto Speedway. The Concord, California native earned $12,500 for his USAC National victory. Mike Spencer finished strong as the runner-up on the half-mile dirt track. Levi Jones, Bud Kaeding, and Chris Windom completed the top-five.
Gardner sweeps Vermeil Classic at Calistoga - HD Staff - September 6, 2010 - Damion Gardner, originally from Concord, California, swept the two Labor Day weekend nights of USAC-CRA sprint car racing at Calistoga Speedway. "The Demon" drove the Rod Tiner/Kevin Urton owned #83 to a smart win Sunday night that earned $5,000 plus bonus "lap money". That cash will stack nicely on top of the team's haul of three-grand plus "lap money" that came from Saturday night's win. ...The Sunday race was a tire conservation test with tires popping seemingly every lap late in the 30-lap run. Among the top dozen finishers Sunday night - only Gardner, and third place finisher Mike Spencer finished the race on the same right rear tire they took the green flag with. ...Sunday's top-five included Gardner, Daron Clayton, Spencer, Kyle Larson, and Blake Miller. Marty Hawkins of Santa Rosa scored a career best sixth place finish after transferring through the B-Main. ...Saturday's top-five was: Gardner, Danny Sheridan, Spencer, Keith Bloom, and Robert Ballou. ...Miller broke the single lap non-wing sprint car track record (his own) Saturday night with a lap of 19.078 seconds. ...Larson won the Calistoga Speedway track championship.
..Gardner & Stewart shine in RRS events - February 19, 2011- by Bobby Gerould - Damion Gardner and Shane Stewart earned victories in Racer's racing Series points earning events in Florida, and Arizona respectively Saturday night. Gardner captured the USAC National Sprint Car A-Main at Ocala, FL - while Stewart won the ASCS race at USA Raceway in Tucson, AZ. Gardner was trailed at the finish line by Blake Fitzpatrick, Levi Jones, Hunter Schuerenberg, and Casey Shuman. Stewart bested Jack Dover, Aaron Reutzel, Jeff Swindell, and Johnny Herrera. .The companion USAC Western Midget features were captured by Robby Josett (Sat.), and Cory Kruseman (Sun.).
